This beautiful Hazelton Brothers piano was restrung and refinished by Dan Malloy, RPT, in 1998 and further upgraded with all new premium action parts and hammers in 2022.
Historically, this 6’3” parlor grand was manufactured in the 1890s and purchased originally by Albert Spalding, founder of the sporting goods company, which bears his name. It was sold at the family’s estate sale in the 1950s and later purchased by Malloy Custom Pianos in 1995. Malloy used it as his own personal piano for the next 25 years.
Having recently moved into a senior living facility in Cedar Rapids, we must find a new home for this outstanding instrument from the “Golden Age” of pianos.
Some of the features found on this piano not found on instruments of a more recent vintage are
- Stylized cabinetry
- original ivory key tops in perfect condition
- solid brass pedals
- matching adjustable artist bench
- Piano Lifesaver humidity system.
Asking price: is $39,000.
